“Baltic Probiotics” Ltd. – was established in 2013 and located in Rucava village, Latvia. The main activity of the company is the production of products based on probiotics. These products are an all-natural and are produced through a natural fermentation process using a beneficial microorganisms and yeasts.

The field of application is:

Technology of development and application of products is based on scientific research in environmental microbiology. Usage of probiotics contributes to a healthy and viable environment (ecosystem) formation. Currently, given that due to the high demand for fish products, natural resources are getting low, that’s why a big attention is concentrated in sector of aquaculture. But still there is some problems in aquaculture sector, for instance, weaken immune system and illness of fish and use of antibiotics, but that increase microbial resistance – a growing problem on a global scale. That is the reason why “Baltic Probiotics” Ltd. is working to find a new alternative method that would

SMART FISHERY – A biological preparation containing effective microorganisms, fermented herbs and phyto-ferments for improving the microbiological quality of water.

SMART FISHERY is produced through a natural fermentation process and it is not chemically synthesized or genetically modified (Non-GMO). It is biodegradable and safe for humans, animals and plants.

SMART FISHERY benefits:

   •Limit the spread of pathogens and fish diseases. Scientific researches in Latvian University of Agriculture concluded that SMART FISHERY reduces spread of following pathogens:

– Aeromonas hydrophila,

– E.coli, Staphylococcus aureus,

   •Positive impact on morphology of fish digestive system. Researches in Klaipėda University (Lithuania, EU) confirm a positive impact of use of probiotics-based products on morphological parameters of two fish species (carp and zander) such as diameter of intestine, villi and crypt depth length.

   •Eliminates the causes of pollution. Inhibits the formation of ammonia and hydrogen sulphide.
